College Student Gets N-Word Stamped On Hand At Louisiania Bar

In Lousiana a female college students's night out with friends was short lived when the N-word got stamped on her hand.

According to the Grio, Taylor ward who is a freshman at Lsu went out with friends at a bar called Reggie's, when she noticed the N-word was spelled backwards on her hand (reggin).

Taylor got even more upset when she noticed what she called a racial shur was facing away from her instead of towards her.

"The bar stamped our hands at the door, and shortly after i noticed that the stamp spelled n****r backwards. I immediately showed my friends," Ward told CLUTCH.

Ward also said that she and her friends approached the manager regarding the stamp but he didn't have much to say which prompted them to leave the bar.

"We decided to bring it to the manager's attention. However, all he had to say was, it's a stamp, so we left," she added.

The LSU student stated that she was shocked and upset. She said other people had the stamp on their hand as well.

"I was really shocked. What upset me th emost is that it was blatantly disrespectful and it was obvious that the design of the stamp was intentional," Taylor explained.

When Taylor and her friends left Reggie's she posted a comment regarding the incident on Twitter.

"I just don't understand why we're still having to deal with racist incidents like this in 2016," Taylor tweeted.

No matter how many times someone says racism doesn't exist, it is quite evident that it does. Taylor Ward did the right thing by leaving the establishment. She also said she won't be returning to the bar but what happens now?

This kind of behavior as well as other issues dealing with racism should be addressed. How do we prevent this kind of disrespect from continuing?
