The BET Awards 2019 was filled with special performances that we will never forget. Hosted by actress Regina Hall who brought us back to her Candy days when she put on a tease for Julian in the black dramedy "The Best Man". During her performance she brought out Sugar Bear of EU who sang his popular hit "Da Butt". Taraji P. Henson who honored Tyler Perry with his award also joined Regina on stage doing the popular dance.
Rapper Offset opened the show with "Clout" featuring his boo and rapstress Cardi B who put on a lapdance for her man and her fans. The Migos and DJ Mustard also killed the stage with "Pure Water". Mary J. Blige was honored with the BET Lifetime Achievement Award. Following her acceptance speech she put on an iconic performance that we will never forget.
Mary J. Blige performed some of her most greatest hits including "No More Drama", "I'm Going Down" and "I'm Fine". Lil Kim graced the stage looking stunning as ever joined Mary in the classic hit "I Can Love You" and then came Method Man joining her in the duet "You're All I Need". Although the queen of hip hop appeared to be a little tired and could barely move in those thigh high boots she still gave a great performance like she always does.
Along with Mary the unforgettable Fantasia also performed her latest single "Enough" from her latest album. Before Mary put on a show singer H.E.R the voice of the new generation put on a powerful performance with a inspirational spoken word before she delivered her vocals to "The Lord Is Coming".
Other performances included Da Baby, Lil Baby, Chi City Girls, Lil Nas X ft. Billy Ray Cyrus, Kirk Franklin, Kelly Price, Kiana Lede, Lucky Daye, Lizzo, Yung Miami and Meek Mill. Following Nipsey Hussle mother's emotional speech Marsha Ambrosius, YG, DJ Khalid and John Legend performed "Real Time", "Last Time I Checc'd" and "Higher" in his honor.
This year's awards winners were Cardi B for Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Lil Baby for Best New Artist, Migos for Best group, Ella Mai for Viewers Choice Award, Regina King for Best Actress and Burner Boy for Best International Artist. Taking the show out was Johnny Gill singing "Before I Let Go" by Frankie Beverly.

Marsai Martin who became first young person to produce a movie in Hollywood was honored with the Young Stars Award. The 14 year old is known for her role as Diane in the comedy Black-ish. She also executive produced the comedy film "Little".
