Why The Arsenio Hall Show Was Cancelled?

It was just last fall when comedian/actor/talk show host Arsenio Hall made his return to late night television. Many people, specifically African Americans were glad to see Arsenio make a come back. He had many guests on his show. Some who hadn't been on any talk show in years!

On September 9th, the Arsenio Hall show premiered on WGN. His first guests were comedian/actor Chris Tucker and West Coast rapper Snoop Doggy Dogg. One of the greatest performers and artists of all times, Prince performed new songs from his new album on the Arsenio Hall Show. 

Recently, it was announced that the Arsenio Hall show will be cancelled and it will not return for another season. The reason for the cancellation is because it didn't bring in enough viewers for the network. 

Arsenio had many great celebrities on his show like actress Nia Long, the cast of "The Best Man Holiday", Gabrielle Union, Angela Bassett,  Tiki Sumpter from "The Haves and Have Nots"; actors Mekhi Phifer, Joe Morton, Shemar Moore; reality stars Nene Leakes, the cast of "Real Housewives of Atlanta", the cast of "R&B Divas" and the cast of "Basketball Wives LA". 

The show was filled with many surprises like a performance from actress and singer Tatyana Ali. Ali is mostly known for her role as Ashley on "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air".

Arsenio had plenty of performers like rappers, Kanye West, Schoolboy Q, Kendrick Lamar, Kid Cudi, T.I., and legend rappers Kid N Play; singers R. Kelly, T-pain, K. Michelle, El Debarge, Seven Streeter; comedians Paul Mooney, Earthquake, George Wallace, Lil Duval and Bill Bellamy!

Model Tyra Banks, hip hop mogul Russell Simmons, Queens rapper Nas, The cast of "Single Ladies", The Game and his long time friend Eddie Murphy were also guests on the show!

The Arsenio Hall show will be missed. It was the only platform that African Americans had for the time being. Most talk shows don't have as many African American celebrities on their show as Arsenio had. Comedian Katt Williams was a guest on his show and for him that was truly a blessing!

JB Smoove was the last guest on the show as it ended it's run on May 21st!

It's a shame that the show didn't bring in enough viewers to continue for another season. Not enough people tuned in to watch the show. Not enough of a wide variety of people tuned in to watch the show. Unlike other talk shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live and David Letterman who brings in all kinds of viewers, The Arsenio Hall show mostly brought in African American viewers. Whatever the case may be the show will be missed!

Hit The Floor Recap: "Ahsha and German Shares A Kiss"

This week on "Hit The Floor" Ahsha and German shared a kiss thanks to Jelena. Kyle ran into one of her old flings and Chase takes a plea deal.

Jelena is the true villain and she's out to get Ahsha at any cost. She's sleeping with Zero behind closed doors and working hard to get the goods on Ahsha's secret. Following the Devils performance Ahsha and German were put in a trick bag where they were forced to share a kiss. Derek felt some type of way about it but Ahsha made up for it later.

Raquel and Pete were on their way to San Fransisco when his ex-wife decided to spoil it all. She told Raquel some things that made her want to turn the plane around and go back to LA. Pete was in the dark but he got down to the bottom of it later. His ex admited she wanted him back. Pete let her down easy and made things right with he and Raquel.

Chase tried to get Sloane to help him. He swore he didn't kill his wife, Olivia, but he did plant her body in the sand as a message to Oscar. Oscar wanted Chase to admit he killed Olivia and he refused. What's really going on?

Jelena has some secrets of her own and it could have something to do with Mia. She's so busy trying to expose Ahsha that she too is sleeping with a basketball player!

Hit The Floor Episode 2 Recap: "Ahsha Spills The Beans"

On episode two of "Hit The Floor" Ahsha spilled the beans about her mother and father to Raquel during Olivia's burial service. Ahsha is angry at her parents for not telling her their secret but at the same time she's digging a worse hole for herself. She doesn't only have her parents to worry about but also her ex-boyfriend German who is now the assistant basketball coach to her father Pete!

She doesn't want people to know she and Derek are an item which won't be a secret for long. What is she going to do then? Jelena is still out to get her so she might want to watch the bridges she's burning down. 

Zero finally got what he wanted from Jelena. She is playing right into his hands. While Oscar is more concerned about his investment he showed little concern about Olivia's death. Jelena had a hard time speaking in honor of the late Devils director.
